During its meeting in Springfield, the Illinois Optometric Association (IOA) selected Randy Epstein, MD, for its “Friend of Optometry” award. This is an annual commendation of leaders in and supporters of the eye care field who make exceptional contributions to the well-being of the public and promote a cooperative spirit among various eye care practitioners. Dr. Epstein also presented an educational lecture on “Crosslinking for Keratoconus and Ectatic Disorders” to an audience of optometrists from all over the state.
