Ophthalmic Technician
This position is for a full-time experienced Ophthalmic Technician who can demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide the appropriate care to our patients. Looking for experience including medical assisting, knowledge of ophthalmic terminology and medications, refracting, tonometry, pachymetry, A-Scan, visual fields, laser/LASIK surgery etc…
Candidate should have the ability to multi-task and work well with others. Accuracy is a must. Occasional travel between our offices is necessary. We offer paid-time off, health and dental insurance plans, 401K and paid holidays.
Job Type: Part-time position available at our Hoffman Estates office; full time position also available but must be willing to travel to our Chicago and Highland Park offices.

Human Resource Specialist
The Human Resources specialist (HR) will be joining our growing and leading ophthalmology practice. HR is responsible for providing the overall direction of human resources operations and support across four locations and any future expansion.
This includes serving as consultant strategist for the following areas: hiring, orientation, and onboarding; compensation; performance management; training and organizational development; rewards and recognition; work culture and retention; diversity; policy development and interpretation; dispute resolution/mediation communication; and HR/Payroll transactions. Assures the program’s personnel actions and activities are compliant with relevant Federal, State, and institutional policies and support the institution’s equal opportunity and diversity goals. The HR specialist will also be a leader in developing and maintaining a professional and engaging culture, integrating HR best practices within CCC.
Duties and Responsibilities
Human Resources specialist will be responsible for recruiting and hiring process as well as exit process.
Responsible for reporting and administration of all benefit programs including renewal and enrollment of health and dental insurance, 401K plan, flex spending plan, PTO and more.
Provide personnel assistance in identifying, evaluating, and resolving human relations and work performance to facilitate and improve employee relations and skills.
Provide and maintain employee training, including new employee orientation.
Responsible for all safety related programs and maintain accident files.
Investigates any complaints.
Establish and maintain company meetings as well as monthly birthday/anniversary recognitions.
Record and evaluate attendance using TimePro and other software.
Assist in establishing new policies and procedures.
Any other tasks as required to run a Human Resources Department.
Qualifications
The right candidate must be detail oriented and have excellent written and verbal communication skills; must have the ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries and complaints; and be a multi-tasker.
Must be familiar with all federal and state law and regulations in personnel and employee benefit administration.
Preferably has a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience with at least two years of experience in recruiting, hiring, and processing employees’ benefits.
Must be willing and able to travel across sites and work from different rotating work locations. Access to reliable transportation is required.
