Cornea and keratoconus treatment

Corneal cross-linking (CXL) is a minimally invasive procedure that uses ultraviolet light and riboflavin to strengthen the cornea by forming new “cross-links” between collagen fibers. CXL halts the progression of keratoconus, preventing the need for a corneal transplant. Chicago Cornea Consultants was the first practice to offer this procedure in the Chicago area.

Glaucoma

Minimally invasive glaucoma surgery(MIGS) is a treatment option that involves inserting a microscopic device into the eye during cataract surgery to help lower eye pressure. The iStentInject is an FDA-approved device that has been found to be successful in lowering pressure and reducing the need for glaucoma drops.

BOTOX

BOTOX is a carefully controlled neurotoxic protein used in cosmetic procedures. When injected into muscles, BOTOX temporarily paralyzes them, minimizing the appearance of wrinkles, creases, and fine lines. It is commonly used in cosmetic procedures to treat frown lines, crow's feet, and forehead lines.
